Authorities will investigate single-vehicle accidents like this with the goal of accurately identifying culprits/suspects. Product/vehicle defects have resulted in similar incidents in the past, so this possibility should not be overlooked. That said, if this factor is established in any of these cases, victims will have options they can explore with their legal counsel.
