East Hartford – Highway Vehicle Accident
Authorities responded to a highway accident in East Hartford yesterday evening.
At approximately 6:44 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the westbound lanes of Route 2, about half a mile before Exit 5A, to assist motorists in a crash involving a yet unspecified number of vehicles. EMS crews quickly arrived at the scene to assist those injured in the accident, while other personnel immediately started cleanup operations. They were able to clear the site less than half an hour later. Officials have yet to identify people included in the incident pending an investigation into the cause of the crash.
