East Granby – Head-On Collision
A head-on collision in East Granby last Friday morning resulted in one fatality.
The incident occurred on Route 20 (Rainbow Road) at approximately 5:45 a.m. 34-year-old Lynton St. Marie, driving a Nissan Altima, crashed into an SUV with two occupants. St. Marie died due to critical injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Toyota Highlander SUV, 41-year-old Salvador Oliveras, and his passenger, 30-year-old Brianna Schumann, sustained serious injuries and were quickly attended to by EMS personnel. Officials are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them as soon as possible.
