Darien – Interstate Accident

Highway officials received reports of an accident in Darien yesterday evening.

At around 8:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to the northbound lanes of I-95 following reports of a crash that occurred around a fifth of a mile before Exit 10 (Noroton Avenue). It is not yet clear how many vehicles were involved in the incident, but injuries were reported, and fire and EMS teams were requested on-site. The crash scene was cleared at approximately 9:10 p.m., and authorities are now investigating the incident. No one has been identified yet. This post will be updated as soon as officials release more info.

State and local officials constantly monitor traffic across the state, and more so in high-risk areas such as highways/major thoroughfares. This is noteworthy because emergency teams are always ready to respond at a moment’s notice, and this is important if lives are to be preserved or saved. An important aspect of processing crash sites is investigating their causes so that responsible parties can be taken off the road.
