Vehicle entrapment is typically an accurate indicator of the severity of certain accidents. Authorities would typically dispatch firefighters to crash sites just to make sure they are prepared for this contingency. That said, similar incidents can be prevented by identifying their causes and addressing them, be it through driver education, road improvements or disclosing vehicle failures/defects.
