Danbury – Multiple Injuries In Embankment Crash

A car with several occupants fell down an embankment in Danbury early Saturday morning.

The incident was reported at approximately 12:20 a.m. and occurred at Exit 3 (Route 7) on the eastbound side of I-84. According to officials, 21-year-old Jose G. Rodriguez-Perez was driving his 2008 Lexus IS250 with three other passengers when their vehicle swerved off the roadway, hitting a guardrail before falling down an embankment near the off-ramp. All four occupants sustained injuries in the incident and had to be tended to by responders before being transported to Danbury Hospital. No word yet on the involvement of other vehicles in the crash. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and will release more info as they become available.
