Colchester – Motorcycle Crash Closes Road
A motorcycle and truck collided in Colchester yesterday evening.
The accident occurred on Route 16 (Middletown Road) and was reported to authorities at approximately 9:45 p.m. Injuries were reported by officials, and emergency crews immediately closed Route 16 between Gillettes Lane and Cabin Road while they assisted those involved and investigated the crash scene. Officials have yet to disclose the identities of those involved and the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities will release updates as soon as they arrive.
Motorcycle accidents are disproportionately riskier to motorists compared to those involving cars and other vehicles, so establishing liability is important so that similar incidents can be avoided in the future. That said, if authorities/investigators discover negligence in any of these cases, injured parties can consult legal experts so that they can be informed of their rights and options.
