Bristol – Hit-And-Run Motorcycle Crash

A rider was seriously injured in an intersection crash in Bristol early Wednesday evening.

At around 5:30 p.m., local authorities received reports of an accident at the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and East Street. According to initial reports, a motorcycle collided with a silver Dodge Ram. The rider sustained serious injuries in the crash, while the driver of the pickup truck fled the area. EMS teams have since arrived on-site to tend to the victim, though no word yet on hospitalization. Authorities are investigating the crash and currently following leads that might help them locate and apprehend the truck driver. Witnesses are encouraged to contact officials as soon as possible.

Fleeing crash sites is a serious violation and can aggravate cases against offenders, regardless of intent or circumstances of these accidents. It’s only appropriate that these reckless individuals are quickly apprehended and stopped from hurting more people. That said, injuries caused by negligence can be strong grounds for filing damage/compensation claims against culprits. Legal experts can define these options and help victims pursue them.
