Bridgewater – Serious Injuries After Motorcycle Crash
A motorcycle crash in Bridgewater last Sunday evening results in serious injuries.
The incident occurred on Clapboard Road, near its intersection with Keeler Road. At approximately 8:40 p.m., 30-year-old Stephen J. Furphy was riding his 2002 Yamaha XV1700PC south on Clapboard when his motorcycle veered onto the northbound lane before falling on its side and hitting a roadside curb. Furphy was thrown off his motorcycle and sustained serious injuries in the crash. Emergency responders quickly brought the victim to Danbury Hospital for treatment. The accident remains under investigation. Officials will release updates when appropriate.
