Bridgeport – Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Incident

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Bridgeport early yesterday morning.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., local officials were alerted to a pedestrian incident on Madison Avenue. Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Madison and Capitol Avenues and discovered a pedestrian who was hit by a passing car. The vehicle was not at the scene when officers arrived. EMS crews quickly tended to the victim, while other crews blocked off the area to allow investigators to collect evidence. Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the injured pedestrian pending an investigation. They are also requesting possible witnesses and anyone with relevant info to contact them as soon as possible.

While it’s likely that panic or emotional distress can contribute to incidents of hit-and-run, it doesn’t take away the fact that running away only makes things worse of suspects/culprits. Suffice it to say, authorities will exhaust all means to bring these people to justice. Not only that, injured parties may also have the option of filing for damages if deemed appropriate by legal experts.
