Bridgeport – Motorist Injured In Shooting Incident

A motorist was hospitalized following a shooting incident in Bridgeport yesterday evening.

At around 7:44 p.m., authorities received reports of a shooting near the intersection of Pine Street and Hancock Avenue. Initials reports suggest a female motorist was injured when an unidentified assailant shot at her vehicle. The driver sustained multiple lacerations from shattered glass but was able to drive herself to Bridgeport Hospital. Medical personnel has since tended to the victim’s injuries. No word yet on the status or location of the assailant. Officials are investigating the assault and are asking witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
