Bridgeport – Man Seriously Injured After Shooting
A person was seriously injured after he was shot in Bridgeport last Saturday afternoon.
At around 5:00 p.m., local police responded to reports of a shot being fired in the area of 800 Colorado Avenue. They did not find the victim after arriving at the scene but found a bullet casing. A few minutes later, reports came in of a wounded person at the intersection of Denver and Fairfield Avenues. The victim was seriously injured in one leg and was attended to by emergency crews. Authorities are still looking for the suspect in the shooting.
Apprehending suspects in these types of cases is imperative because determining liability/accountability is a priority for officials. That said, once culprits have been identified, and particularly in cases where reckless behavior or negligence can be established, injured parties will have the option of filing damage/compensation claims.
