Bridgeport – Injuries After Rush Hour Crash
Several motorists were injured due to a crash in Bridgeport late yesterday afternoon.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel responded to reports of an accident on the southbound side of I-95 crossing Bridgeport near exit 26. Initial reports stated two vehicles were involved in the incident, and one vehicle hit the center concrete barrier of the highway. Firefighters had to forcefully open a door in one of the involved cars. Injuries were reported and five people were taken to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The incident is still being investigated by authorities.
Highway accidents can typically cause more injuries because of the high speeds involved, so officials take extra time to investigate these types of incidents. Determining liability/accountability is very important, particularly when DUI or negligence is involved. In such cases, injured parties can file for compensation claims.
