Bridgeport – Injuries After Multi-Vehicle Crash
Several vehicles were involved in a highway crash in Bridgeport yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the southbound side of Route 8, between exits 2 and 1. State Police responded to reports of the crash and immediately went to the area where they reported minor injuries after three vehicles were involved in a collision. The right lane of the highway was closed immediately after the accident but has since been reopened. The identities of those involved have yet to be released pending an investigation by authorities.
Road incidents involving multiple vehicles have to be investigated deliberately because identifying the causes of these accidents can be difficult. Having said that, and with enough time, authorities will establish liability/accountability in these cases so that culprits can be brought to justice.
