Bridgeport – Highway Vehicle Fire
A vehicle caught fire on the highway in Bridgeport yesterday afternoon.
Fire and EMS crews responded to the northbound side of I-95 crossing Bridgeport, near Exit 29, after receiving reports of a vehicle that crashed and caught fire in the area. Medical personnel immediately assisted motorists injured in the incident, while other road crews cordoned off the area to facilitate cleanup operations. Officials have yet to identify anyone or the number of vehicles affected by the crash as the accident is still being investigated. Updates will be provided when appropriate.
Vehicle fires still occur despite the inclusion of many safety features inside almost all modern vehicles. Authorities handling these cases will always look at product defects as possible culprits, among other possibilities. As motorists, we need to be aware of our rights if ever we are involved in similar situations. Talking to legal experts should prove to be very useful in these cases.
