Bridgeport – Head Injury After Incident
A man incurred a serious head injury in Bridgeport yesterday evening.
At approximately 8:14 p.m., Bridgeport Police received reports of a person injured on Putnam Street and dispatched EMS crews to the area. Responders discovered a man with a serious head injury after he was reportedly hit by a still-unidentified assailant using a baseball bat. The victim has since been tended to by medical personnel. His status has yet to be disclosed by officials. The incident is currently being investigated, and authorities are asking possible witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
Local police have yet to identify the circumstances that resulted in the victim getting assaulted on the road. Suffice it to say, if investigators discover reckless behavior or negligence, the victim may have options he can explore, including damage claims, once he consults a legal expert.
