Bridgeport – Driver Seriously Injured After Car Shooting
Last Saturday evening, a man was seriously injured when he was shot while inside his car in Bridgeport.
At around 6:30 p.m., Bridgeport Police responded to reports of gunfire on Lafayette Street. Officials said cameras installed in the area may have recorded the crime when it happened. The victim is sitting inside his car when he was shot in the chest by a lone gunman. Authorities immediately transported him to Bridgeport Hospital where treatment allowed him to survive the ordeal. According to officials, the victim was able to identify the suspect and said he knew the shooter. Bridgeport Police are asking anyone who may have information about the incident or the suspect to contact them immediately.
