Bridgeport – Critical Injuries Following Crash
A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries following an intersection crash in Bridgeport early Tuesday evening.
At 5:33 p.m., a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle and a 2006 Nissan Altima collided at the intersection of Stillman and East Main Streets. The 26-year-old motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle and sustained critical injuries, while the 23-year-old driver of the car was not injured. The victim has since been transported to Bridgeport Hospital where, as of posting time, he still remains in critical condition. Authorities are still investigating the incident and asking witnesses to contact their office as soon as possible.
It’s fortunate that this was not a hit-and-run case as similar incidents would result in suspects fleeing crash sites. That said, identifying causes/culprits remains the primary goal of officials. People who are injured in these situations should be allowed to find closure and establishing accountability is crucial in this process.
