Branford – Vehicle Crash With Entrapment And Injuries

A motorist was seriously hurt in a rollover crash in Branford last Saturday evening.

At around 7:40 p.m., emergency crews converged at 166 Bushy Plain Road and discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a utility pole. The car then overturned, trapping its occupant. Responding firefighters had to extricate the victim before transporting him/her to Yale-New Haven Hospital. Authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the motorist or the severity of his/her injuries. The crash site has since been processed, but it’s not yet clear if all lanes have been reopened to traffic. This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as officials release more info.
