Branford – Interstate Accident
An accident occurred on the highway in Branford late yesterday evening.
At approximately 10:08 p.m., reports came in of a crash on the southbound side of I-95. Emergency crews dispatched to the area discovered an accident that occurred just before Exit 55 (Route 1/East Main Street), resulting in injuries to an unspecified number of people. Fire and EMS teams were requested on-site and all motorists involved were immediately assisted by responders. It took road crews almost an hour to clear the scene of all obstructions, only declaring the site cleared a few minutes past 11:00 p.m. No other details have been released as of posting time.
