Ansonia – Multiple Injuries In Junction Crash

Several motorists were hospitalized following an intersection accident in Ansonia Sunday afternoon.

At around 4:30 p.m., authorities received reports of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Westfield Avenue and Division Street. An 84-year-old motorist was driving on Westfield Avenue when she figured in a crash, forcing her back onto Division Street. At this point, she crashed into another vehicle and also hit an office building near the junction. The senior driver sustained serious injuries, while two other motorists also sustained multiple injuries. EMS crews have since transported all involved parties to area hospitals for treatment. Authorities are still investigating the incident and are expected to release updates when appropriate.

The age of the driver who instigated this incident could be the primary factor that led to this crash.
