Woodbury – Injuries in Distracted Driving Crash
Motorists were injured in a two-car collision in Woodbury last Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Sherman Hill Road and involved two vehicles, a Honda Accord and a Nissan Pathfinder. According to authorities, the female driver of the Honda slowed down in an attempt to turn left. Her vehicle was then struck by the Nissan whose driver, according to officials, did not apply the brakes of his vehicle. The female motorist sustained serious injuries in the head, neck and back, and was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment. The male driver was also taken to the hospital for evaluation. Authorities are suggesting distracted driving as a possible cause of the crash, but the case is still under investigation. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.
The details in this case seem to indicate negligence on the part of the male driver. That said, investigators will continue to study all possibilities before making a conclusion. Suffice it to say, if they establish negligence or reckless behavior, the victim may have legal options she can discuss with her counsel.
