Woodbridge – Fatal Crash

A vehicle crashed into a tree in Woodbridge Wednesday morning, killing its driver.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Northrop and Pine Hill Roads. At approximately 6:00 a.m., a vehicle traveling south on Northrop Road suddenly veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree. The driver sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital. There is currently no indication other vehicles were involved in the crash, and the identity of the victim has been withheld pending notification of family members. This incident is currently under active investigation. Officials are expected to release updates as new info becomes available.

There are many factors to consider when investigating crashes that involve vehicles unexpectedly swerving off their intended paths. Driver error is a possibility, but so is vehicle failure/defect. Authorities are expected to look at all possible causes so that liability can be accurately established. That said, families of victims are advised to talk to legal experts. Finding closure is the end goal for them, and having someone providing guidance and making appropriate suggestions should be beneficial.
