Windsor – Fatal Tractor-Trailer Crash

Two trucks collided in Windsor early yesterday morning.

Authorities received reports of an accident on I-91 South shortly after midnight and immediately dispatched emergency teams to Exit 39. Responders found two trucks that had collided in the area. A tractor-trailer was parked on the right shoulder on the interstate when a second tractor-trailer suddenly veered off its proper path and crashed into the parked vehicle. One of the tractor-trailers caught fire — multiple fire crews eventually extinguished the blaze. A driver was killed in the incident; no word yet on the status of the second operator. The crash is currently under active investigation. Updates will be provided as soon as new info becomes available.
