Willington – Two-Vehicle Accident

Two vehicles collided in Willington late Thursday morning.

At 11:31 a.m., reports came in of an accident in the vicinity of 245 River Road. Emergency teams dispatched to the site discovered two vehicles that had crashed, resulting in multiple injuries. One motorist sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital, while officials requested LifeStar support to airlift the second victim to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts as the motorist sustained critical injuries and needed advanced life support. The incident is currently under active investigation. Authorities have not identified anyone yet and are expected to release more info in due time.

This is the second of two serious crashes that have occurred in Willington just this past week. Suffice it to say, authorities will investigate all of these cases thoroughly until liability is sufficiently established. Preventing future crashes will depend on this, and so will the opportunity of aggrieved parties to recover from these unfortunate events and eventually find closure. These are trying times for victims or their next-of-kin. It only makes sense to have experts guide their choices and make appropriate suggestions.
