Westport – Rollover Incident

Authorities responded to a rollover crash in Westport last Thursday evening.

At 10:15 p.m., a vehicle carrying an unspecified number of occupants crashed at the intersection of Cross Highway and Wildwood Lane. Initial reports suggest the vehicle veered off its proper lane and crashed into a utility pole before rolling over and coming to a stop. At least one person was transported to the hospital by emergency responders. Multiple teams were requested on-site to remove all obstructions and repair the damaged pole. The area has since been cleared. Officials are currently investigating the incident and will release more info in due time.

The involvement of other vehicles cannot be immediately discounted in rollover accidents, so this and other possibilities are always examined by investigators. Regardless of circumstance, the involvement of DUI, reckless behavior or negligence will open legal avenues that both the state and injured parties can explore. Legal experts can help us understand what these options are and how to best pursue them.
