Westport – Road Worker Hit By Car
A construction worker was struck by a vehicle in Westport last Tuesday evening.
A few minutes past 9:00 p.m., a road construction worker was on-duty in front of 300 Post Road West when he was struck by a passing vehicle. He sustained serious injuries and was transported by responders to Norwalk Hospital for treatment. The driver of the car immediately stopped and is cooperating with authorities. Several state and local agencies responded to the incident and temporarily closed the roadway around the accident site to investigate its cause. The roadway has since been cleared. The case is still under active investigation. More details, including the identity of all parties involved, will be released when appropriate.
