Westport – Interstate Crash Update

Authorities are still investigating a highway crash that occurred in Westport early last month.

At approximately 2:15 a.m. on January 6, 43-year-old Elizabeth Seda-Flores just passed Exit 18 on I-95 North when her vehicle suddenly swerved to the left, crashing into the median barrier before veering to the right and smashing into the guardrail on the right shoulder. The vehicle incurred heavy front-end damage, while Seda-Flores sustained critical injuries and was found unresponsive by emergency teams. She was immediately taken to Norwalk Hospital where she died. As of posting time, the incident is still under investigation. We will release more updates as new info becomes available.

It can be challenging to determine the causes of many road-related incidents, particularly when available evidence pointing to a culprit is scarce. That said, authorities will continue to investigate all unsolved cases until liability has been sufficiently established. This is noteworthy because victims or their next-of-kin should be afforded legal opportunities that can help them find closure. There are experts who can help them with this goal, and it’s only appropriate for aggrieved parties to have legal counsel by their side.
