Westport – Highway Rollover Crash

A rollover crash was reported on Merritt Parkway late Wednesday evening.

Authorities received reports of the incident at 9:49 p.m. Emergency crews were dispatched to an area past Exit 42 on the northbound lanes and discovered rollover accident involving a still-unspecified number of vehicles. Fire and EMS teams from both Fairfield and Westport have responded to the incident and have already assisted everyone injured or otherwise affected by the crash. The accident site has since been cleared, but the case is still under active investigation. No one has been identified yet, and officials will release more info as they become available.

The chances of rollover accidents occurring on highways are significantly higher at nighttime. Having said that, crash responders will always be well-equipped to process, investigate, and clear these accident sites. This is noteworthy because the end goal is to identify accident culprits and bring them to justice. In cases where negligence is involved, this process will also allow injured parties to file their individual claims against suspects. These are avenues we can pursue with the help of expert legal counsel.
