Waterbury – Motorcyclist Fatally Injured In Crash
A motorcycle was seriously injured in Waterbury last Friday evening.
The accident occurred on North Main Street. The 26-year-old victim was driving his 1997 Harley Davidson on that road when his vehicle suddenly swerved onto the opposite lane. An Acura MDX directly in front of the motorcycle was able to avoid it, swerving into a lawn. The vehicle behind it, a Mercedes-Benz, wasn’t able to avoid the motorcycle and collided with it. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation at this time. Officials will release more information when appropriate.
Motorcycle accidents that involve collisions with other vehicles can result in serious injuries or even deaths, so authorities investigate these incidents thoroughly to eliminate all possibilities. That said, if reckless behavior, product defects or negligence can be established, aggrieved parties can be entitled to damages/compensation under appropriate circumstances.
