Waterbury – Fatality After Intersection Crash
A motorist died after an intersection crash in Waterbury last Saturday evening.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of Wood and Walnut Streets a few minutes before 7:30 p.m. after authorities received reports of a crash in the area. According to officials, a car with four occupants swerved off the road and crashed into several structures before stopping in the backyard of a home. The driver of the vehicle was found unresponsive and was immediately brought to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. One passenger stayed at the scene, while two others left before emergency responders arrived. The identities of everyone involved have yet to be disclosed pending an investigation into the cause of the accident. Authorities will release updates when appropriate.
