Waterbury – Crash Fatality Identified
The victim in last Saturday’s crash in Waterbury has now been identified.
34-year-old Carla Jamele of Waterbury was driving her blue Honda Accord when she ran a stop sign at the intersection of Walnut and Wood Streets. She then struck various structures in front of 248 Walnut Street before coming to a stop. Emergency crews quickly transported her to a local hospital where she was eventually pronounced dead. One of her male passengers was also taken to the hospital for evaluation, while another fled the accident scene before authorities arrived. The case remains under investigation. Officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them right away.
