Wallingford – Woman In Critical Condition After Crash
The motorcycle rider involved in a crash in Wallingford last Monday remains in critical condition.
A local woman, who has since been identified as 26-year-old Crystal L. Charlton, crashed her motorcycle into a tree and mailbox on Route 71 (Old Colony Road) near Oak Street. She was immediately brought to Yale-New Haven Hospital. Initial reports described only minor injuries. It has since been updated that Charlton sustained critical, internal injuries because of the crash. Authorities are still investigating the incident but have since said that the rider was wearing appropriate clothing and a helmet at the time of the accident.
