Vernon – Pedestrian Accident

A pedestrian was struck by a car in Vernon yesterday evening.

Authorities dispatched emergency teams to Route 83 after receiving reports of an accident in the area. The intersection of Route 83 and Hockanum Boulevard was immediately closed after responders discovered a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. Injuries were reported, and EMS teams were requested on-site to tend to the victim. Officials have not yet specified if hit-and-run or DUI could be involved. This is a developing story and will be updated as soon as authorities release more info.

Injuries sustained in pedestrian incidents can, in many cases, be debilitating and can even result in permanent disability. While there are many factors to consider, many crashes are caused by reckless or negligent behavior. Suffice it to say, liable parties should be brought to justice. Victims of these unfortunate events should also have legal options at their disposal. It’s in these situations where having expert counsel making appropriate suggestions can be beneficial.
