Union – Interstate Truck Accident
A tractor-trailer crashed on the highway in Union yesterday.
The incident occurred between Exits 73 and 72 on I-84 West. Several Department of Transportation vehicles were in the area when a tractor-trailer crashed into the rearmost vehicle. Serious injuries were reported, but authorities have yet to identify affected parties. The crash forced the closure of the westbound side of the interstate to allow responders to process and clear the site safely. As of the last update, authorities are still present and working at the scene. This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as soon as more info becomes available.
The risk of collateral damage and injuries is quite high when accidents involve large vehicles, such as tractor-trailers. It’s in these situations where establishing accountability is crucial. Preventing future incidents will depend on this, and so will the ability of injured parties to explore appropriate legal claims against liable parties. Legal experts can determine when this avenue can be pursued.
