Trumbull – Motorcycle Accident Causes Injuries

A motorcyclist was injured in Trumbull yesterday afternoon.

A 19-year-old man was riding his motorcycle at the intersection of Monroe Turnpike (Route 111) and Old Mine Road when he was hit by a car traveling at approximately 40 mph. Upon impact, he was thrown over the hood of the car and onto the road. Emergency crews immediately responded to reports of the crash and have attended to the victim. According to authorities, the man sustained injuries but remained responsive. The accident is still being investigated by officials.

Motorcycle riders have a higher chance of sustaining injuries in road accidents, so establishing accountability is important to authorities in these types of cases. That said, injuries caused by negligence or reckless behavior can be strong grounds for filing damage/compensation claims.
