Trumbull – Late Evening Highway Crash

Several vehicles collided on the highway in Trumbull late yesterday evening.

At approximately 10:22 p.m., reports came in of a multiple-vehicle collision on the northbound lanes of Route 8. Fire and EMS crews converged on an area near Exit 11 (Huntington Road) and discovered four vehicles that had collided, resulting in injuries. Medical personnel have since assisted everyone affected by the crash, but no word yet on the number of motorists involved and how many were taken to the hospital. The area was temporarily blocked off while various road crews cleared the site of all obstructions. The incident is currently under investigation. Officials will release more info, including the identities of those involved, when appropriate.

Road accidents involving several vehicles can be challenging to process and clear, and the nature of these incidents can also make identifying their causes difficult. That said, authorities would always have the necessary resources to deal with these unfortunate events. This is important if culprits are to be brought to justice and injured parties given opportunities to cope and find closure.
