Torrington – Rollover Crash With Entrapment

A motorist was trapped inside a vehicle that crashed in Torrington last Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 5:19 p.m., local firefighters were dispatched to Route 183 after receiving reports of a crash in the area. According to responders, a vehicle swerved off the roadway and fell down an embankment near Rockwell Drive, rolling over before coming to a stop. The driver of the car was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated through the rear passenger door by firefighters, after which the victim was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment.
