Tolland – Student Fatality After Crash
A student was killed in an accident in Tolland last Wednesday evening.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., 20-year-old Nathan Sterling of Ellington was negotiating a curve on Peter Green Road when his vehicle swerved off the roadway, crashing into two trees. He sustained critical injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead soon after. According to officials, the evidence they’ve collected at the scene so far indicate no other vehicle was involved in the incident. The case is still under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them as soon as possible.
Single-vehicle accidents can be challenging to investigate, particularly in cases where there are no immediately obvious causes. That said, investigators will always look at all possibilities with the goal of accurately establishing accountability. This is important because if they discover negligence, victims not responsible for these incidents may have legal options at their disposal.
