Tolland – Single-Vehicle Crash With Injuries

Emergency teams were dispatched to Route 30 following a crash in Tolland last Monday evening.

At 7:34 p.m., a 37-year-old Stafford resident was driving a VW Tiguan on Crystal Lake Road when the vehicle crashed about a fifth of a mile north of Route 72. According to initial reports, the vehicle suddenly swerved off the roadway, crashing into a utility pole and a tree before coming to a stop. The driver sustained injuries and was quickly transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment. Authorities have yet to discover the involvement of other vehicles in the crash. The case is currently under investigation. Officials will release updates as new info becomes available.

However, if this factor is eliminated, it’s only appropriate to look at other possibilities, including vehicle defects/failures, particularly in single-vehicle incidents.
