Tolland – Drivers Injured After Collision
A head-on collision resulted in serious injuries in Tolland yesterday morning.
The crash occurred on Route 30 (Crystal Lake Road), near its intersection with Eaton Road, and involved two vehicles. One car was headed north and suddenly swerved onto the opposite lane, colliding with another vehicle headed south. Emergency crews quickly arrived at the scene and requested LifeStar support but were denied due to bad weather. The drivers of both vehicles sustained injuries in the crash and were transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are still investigating the accident but have pointed to the driver in the northbound lane as a possible culprit.
Head-on collisions almost always result in serious injuries to people, so determining the causes of these accidents is imperative. If negligence, DUI or reckless behavior are discovered to be involved in these situations, aggrieved parties would be entitled to file for damages/compensation.
