Thompson – Truck Accident On The Highway

An accident in Thompson early yesterday morning forced a partial closure of the highway for several hours.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., state and local officials received reports of a crash on the northbound side of I-395 at Exit 53 (Wilsonville Road). Upon arriving at the scene they discovered a truck that had crashed in the area, blocking a portion of the highway. Responders quickly attended to motorists injured in the crash, while other crews initiated cleanup operations. It took them several hours to clear the site of obstructions, eventually declaring all lanes cleared by 1:44 p.m. The incident is still under investigation, and officials are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them right away.

Truck accidents frequently result in serious injuries, road closures, and heavy delays. It’s important to address causes related to these incidents so that future crashes can be avoided. That said, and more than just a preventive measure, establishing accountability can also allow people injured in these situations to find closure. More than that, they can also be entitled to damages in cases involving negligence, and legal experts can determine what options people can pursue under proper circumstances.
