An early morning crash in Newtown yesterday causes fatal injuries.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Berkshire Road (Route 34) near its intersection with Jordan Hill Road. An older model Jeep Cherokee with two occupants was traveling on Route 34 when it swerved onto the westbound shoulder of the road and into a wooded ravine. 20-year-old Elliot Gregory and 19-year-old Philip Zuvanich both sustained fatal injuries and were killed in the crash. Authorities immediately arrived at the scene and are now investigating the crash.
Conclusions have yet to be made related to the cause of this incident.
