New Haven – Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash

A motorist was killed in a car crash in New Haven last Saturday morning.

32-year-old Jason Goglas just exited I-95 onto Route 34 when his vehicle suddenly veered off its proper path, crashing into a guardrail and concrete barrier before coming to a stop. Emergency crews responded to the crash scene at around 2:00 a.m. and immediately transported Goglas to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries. Route 34 was blocked off following the incident to allow emergency crews to process and clear the site. No word yet on whether or not other vehicles were involved in the crash. The case is still under active investigation. We will update this story as more info becomes available.

Single-vehicle accidents may not immediately present obvious causes, and this makes investigating these incidents challenging. Driver error and vehicle defects can be considered, among other possibilities. Whatever the outcome, the involvement of negligence can allow victims not responsible for these crashes (or their next of kin) to pursue legal avenues that can help them cope. Under appropriate circumstances, legal experts can recommend filing for damages.
