Bantam – Multi-Vehicle Accident

Several vehicles collided in Bantam yesterday afternoon.

State and local officials received reports of a crash on Bantam Road. Authorities immediately blocked off Route 202 at Old Turnpike Road to allow responders to process the crash site and assist motorists injured in the three-vehicle incident. No one has been identified yet, and officials are still investigating the cause of the crash. The area was cleared before nighttime yesterday, and authorities are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them right away. We will update this post as more info becomes available.

Road accidents can, in many cases, block entire roadways and cause heavy delays in surrounding areas. Investigators have to be deliberate when studying these sites so that liability is accurately established. Doing this will not only allow the state to file charges against responsible parties, but also enable injured parties to file their claims against negligent individuals.

At around 12:55 a.m., 32-year-old Kyle J. Buys was driving his 2012 Honda Civic on Danbury Road when he rear-ended a police cruiser. The officer operating the cruiser sustained injuries and was treated on-site by responding EMS personnel. The investigation that followed discovered that Buys was under the influence at the time of the collision. He was immediately taken into custody and is now facing several charges related to the incident. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 30.

As an additional benefit, people who are injured due to these negligent actions can pursue legal avenues that can help them find closure. With the help of legal experts, filing for damages can be a beneficial course of action.

New Milford – Industrial Accident Causes Death

An employee of a factory in New Milford died after an accident last Friday.

At around 6:00 p.m. last Friday, fire and EMS crews responded to reports of a man who was trapped inside a conveyor machine located at 574 Danbury Road. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found Kendrick trapped inside the machine. He died from compression injuries to his head and body. That said, this particular case is still being studied and investigated. It pays to take note of this case because if this happens to us or our loved ones, we should be aware of our options.
