Suffield – Hit-And-Run Intersection Crash

Local officials are looking for a hit-and-run suspect following an intersection crash in Suffield last Sunday.

At approximately 5:26 p.m., two vehicles figured in an accident at the intersection of East and Bridge Streets (Routes 159 and 513, respectively). A white Ford F-150 was traveling north on East Street when it attempted to turn left towards Bridge Street, hitting another vehicle in the process. Instead of stopping, the driver of the truck immediately fled the scene. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the area to tend to a still unspecified number of motorists in the second vehicle. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone who may have information about the crash to contact them as soon as possible. Based on data collected in the incident, the suspect vehicle should have damage on its front driver’s side.

Investigators would typically identify intersection crash causes promptly, allowing authorities to establish liability and bring culprits to justice. Obviously, instances of hit-and-run will only make things worse for suspects, particularly when officials eventually discover DUI, reckless behavior or negligence. These things said, victims of these unfortunate accidents have options at their disposal. Consulting legal experts should help them pursue these options when appropriate.

The identities of those involved, the severity of their injuries, and other pertinent information have yet to be released pending an investigation. Updates will be provided when they become available.
