A motorist was injured after a rear-end collision in Plainfield last Wednesday.
The accident occurred in front of 105 Putnam Road at around 11:28 a.m. 74-year-old Sandra McCourt of Plainfield was driving her Honda Civic on a service road in the area when her vehicle rear-ended a Dodge Charger. The still-unidentified driver of the Dodge sustained injuries and was immediately transported to Plainfield Backus emergency center for treatment. Authorities are now investigating the crash and will release more information, including the identity of the victim, when appropriate.
While the causes of most rear-end collisions are readily apparent, authorities will still investigate all possibilities before making a conclusion. It’s important to take note of this because if they establish reckless behavior, negligence or DUI in any of these cases, injured motorists may have the option of filing for damages once their legal counsel deems it as a suitable course of action.
