74-year-old Robert Kleeman was driving his 2007 Isuzu east on Route 165 (Shetucket Turnpike) when his vehicle suddenly swerved onto the opposite lane and off the roadway, crashing into a tree and rolling over. Responders immediately transported Kleeman to The William W. Backus Hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead. Authorities are currently investigating the crash and looking for witnesses that can provide relevant info. Officials are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them right away.

Reports from witnesses can really help authorities identify the causes of this and other similar cases. Single-vehicle accidents are particularly challenging to investigate because, in many instances, their causes are not readily apparent. Having said that, the discovery of any form of negligence not associated with victims can allow them or their families to explore various options with the help of legal experts. Filing for damages is a possible option and shouldn’t be overlooked by involved parties.
