A vehicle accident occurred on Boston Turnpike in Eastford yesterday.
Authorities received reports of a crash on Route 244 (Boston Turnpike) and immediately sent emergency crews to the area. According to responders, a still unspecified number of vehicles was involved in an accident that resulted in injuries. Officials closed down Route 224 between Route 198 and Mill Bridge Road while they worked on investigating the cause of the crash and clearing the scene. The site has since been cleared of all obstructions. Authorities have yet to identify motorists involved in the incident and will do so as their investigation progresses.
