Southington – Fatal Highway Crash
A motorist was killed in a highway crash in Southington last Friday evening.
22-year-old Dominic Thomas Hamm was driving his Honda Accord east on I-84 that night when his vehicle suddenly swerved off the highway at Exit 32 (Route 10). The car then fell down an embankment, crashing into a tree before coming to a stop. Hamm died due to injuries incurred in the crash. The incident is currently being investigated. Officials are requesting possible witnesses or anyone with relevant info to come forward and assist with the investigation.
Based on already available evidence, other vehicles were not involved in this incident. That said, authorities will continue to study this case until accountability is accurately established. Because other motorists were not involved in the crash, the possibility of vehicle failures/defects cannot be overlooked in this and other similar cases. As a form of negligence, this may entitle victims or their families to explore specific legal options that can help them find closure.
