Seymour – DUI Causes Several Injuries
Two people were injured by a man driving under the influence in Seymour last Wednesday evening.
Local officials responded to a three-vehicle accident that occurred on Great Hill Road (Route 334) at approximately 8:30 p.m. 36-year-old Deonte Glass of Georgia was driving his Dodge Ram pickup truck north on that route when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit a Ford Mustang on the southbound lane. The truck then continued north and hit another vehicle, a Toyota Prius, also headed south. The driver of the Mustang was not injured. The two occupants of the Prius sustained injuries and were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Glass was apprehended by authorities and given a sobriety test, which he failed. He was arrested and is now facing charges of failure to drive right and DUI.
